Crisis Accommodation

24/7 supported accommodation

Youth Futures has been providing Crisis Accommodation since its inception in 1980 (under the name of NYSA - Northern Youth Shelter Association). It is now known as Youth Futures (Inc.) Crisis Accommodation.

  • A safe place to land when there’s nowhere else to go.
  • For young men aged 13–20 facing homelessness, instability, or unsafe living situations, our Crisis Accommodation offers more than just a roof—it’s a fresh start.
  • We provide short-term, 24/7 staffed accommodation in a safe, supportive environment. Alongside a secure place to stay, young men receive meals, emotional support, and one-on-one case management to help them stabilise, reconnect, and plan for what’s next.
  • Every young person deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. We’re here to help them take the first step toward a more hopeful future.
  • Need help or know someone who does?

What is the Cost?

Residents with an income can expect to pay $100 per week, which covers food, power, water, laundry facilities and accommodation. This subsidised rate allows residents to save money so they can reduce any outstanding debt and save for a bond, furniture and goods they may need when they move on. The incredibly cheap board allows clients some breathing space to 'get on top' of finances and save so they can achieve their dreams. If residents do not have an income, accommodation is free.

How Can We Help You?

We can offer you opportunities to develop skills for independent living and aim to provide you with a service that meets your expectations and goals. We achieve this through exploring what you need to effectively participate in your community. We ensure that you are involved and informed in any decision that may affect your welfare.
