Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 meters or more) is a two day course which includes a blend of theory and practical instruction on operating Elevating Work Platforms (EWPs) in a safe and responsible manner. Skills covered include work planning, performing pre-start checks, set-up and operating the EWP safely and shutting down & securing the EWP. The assessment is based on direct observation as well as completion of written activities. On competence, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment.
This course is a mandatory requirement for anyone operating a boom type elevating work platform (with a boom length of 11 metres or more). This course is suitable for workers using an EWP in Agribusiness, Construction, Transport, Warehousing and any other Industry where EWPs are used.
