    Requirements: 
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must wear Safety Boots (not supplied)
  • Must wear other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed (supplied)
  • Must have good English language comprehension (statutory requirement - contact us if you are unsure)
  • Photo ID (e.g. drivers licence)

    About the Training: 

    Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 meters or more) is a two day course which includes a blend of theory and practical instruction on operating Elevating Work Platforms (EWPs) in a safe and responsible manner. Skills covered include work planning, performing pre-start checks, set-up and operating the EWP safely and shutting down & securing the EWP. Upon unit competence, the participant can then perform the statutory licensing assessment. For full details pleaseĀ contact us.

    The assessment is based on direct observation as well as completion of written activities. On competence, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment.

    This course is a mandatory requirement for anyone operating a boom type elevating work platform (with a boom length of 11 metres or more). This course is suitable for workers using an EWP in Agribusiness, Construction, Transport, Warehousing and any other Industry where EWPs are used.

  • Must wear suitable footwear (Safety Boots - not supplied)
  • We supply required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment - with exception of footwear)
  • Transport from Youth Futures (by arrangement)
  • Literacy and Numeracy support available by negotiation. It is a statutory requirement that the assessment is conducted in English - no interpreter allowed sorry.
