  • Literacy and numeracy
  • Rubber boots (Gumboots/Wellingtons - not supplied)
  • Must wear other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed (supplied)
  • Photo ID (e.g. drivers licence)

    About the Training: 

    Basic Chemical Handling is a two day course which includes a blend of theory and practical application of chemicals. The course covers chemical safety, understanding MSDS and labels, Calibration, types of chemicals, types of application methods and gives the participant a general understanding of Chemical Safety and Application.
    The assessment is based on direct observation as well as completion of written activities. On competence participants will receive a Statement of Attainment.
    This course would be beneficial to employees that may occasionally handle chemicals under the direct supervision of somebody with a full Chem Cert.
